History behind the Brady Stewart Collection: Brady Stewart Studio Customers


During the 70+ years of operation, Brady Stewart Studio worked a wide range of Corporations, Advertising Agencies, Printers, organizations and individuals.  By definition, a Commercial Photography Studio, provides a wide array of photographic services including; location & studio photography, black & white and color prints, copy negatives of original prints, large format color and black & white transparencies of original art, photostats and screened prints for business printers, and 35mm slides for business presentations. 

From his affiliation with the Photographic Section of Academy of Science and Arts of Pittsburgh, Brady Stewart developed an expertise for creating presentation transparencies; 3″x4″ lantern slides, 35mm diazo chrome slides, 35mm kodalith slides, 35mm color slides, 4×5 & 8×10 ektachrome transparencies, and 8×10 hand-colored kodalith transparencies.   In the early 1940s, Brady Stewart Studio was the first to offer ammonia-developed color slides for business presentations.  In the early 1950s, Brady Stewart Studio was the first to offer 35mm color and  black & white kodalith television slides.  In the early 1980s, Brady Stewart Studio was the first to offer computer generated slides with photographic inserts. (see hand-colored Lantern Slides at http://bradystewartphoto.photoshelter.com/gallery/Hand-colored-Positive-Slides/G0000cPWtCKzQbiI/
